Hi! My name is Liz and I am an Australian early childhood teacher. I have 2 Masters degrees (in Early Childhood Education & Leadership) and have been teaching for 15 years in Australia, Malaysia and China. I believe children learn when they are happy, safe and engaged and so this, for me, is the foundation. I love to incorporate music, drama and visual arts into the learning process to allow a wide range of expression and experiences and to give opportunities for children to share their work with others.
I have a special interest in research and publish a research-based blog post every month. I read current research then extract practical ideas or helpful findings that can be used by teachers and parents, often creating an infographic and/or a free downloadable printable to go with it.
This blog is also a place for me to share other ideas and resources and I hope you will check in often. I’d love to hear from you so feel free to leave comments!
There’s a little more about my family on this Favourite Things post but here are my 3 precious (and slightly kooky) kids! Maddie is in her final year in high school, Alex has recently finished her teacher training and Zac is in Year 7.
